Our latest fave food? Cauliflower, of course! At Twisted Foods, we cannot get enough cauliflower. Let’s explore its many benefits that make your body (and your tastebuds!) happy.

We love that we can dress cauliflower up to a customer’s specific liking. It easily pairs with different seasonings like buffalo sauce or even twisted ranch. Some of our fan-favorite recipes are our simple yet delicious breakfast pizzas, made on cauliflower crusts. Yes, that’s right, PIZZA for breakfast! It sounds crazy, but it’s so amazing and fun. 

It’s easy to integrate this delicious veggie into a variety of meals that you’ll love. 

Health Benefits Galore

Cauliflower is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals. High in fiber and water (gotta stay hydrated!) yet low in calories, cauliflower has almost every vitamin and mineral that you need in a healthy, balanced diet. It is an extremely versatile vegetable and an excellent alternative for people who are sensitive to grains or legumes.

As previously mentioned, cauliflower contains a high amount of fiber, which is essential for digestive health and may reduce the risk of several chronic diseases. This delicious veggie slows down digestion and promotes feelings of fullness, helping you stay satisfied for longer—no more getting hungry just an hour or two after a meal! 

High-fiber foods are associated with reducing people’s risk of heart disease, diabetes, obesity, stroke, hypertension, and more. Fibrous foods can also lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels. 

Cauliflower possesses a significant amount of antioxidants, which are beneficial for reducing inflammation and preventing some chronic diseases. Antioxidants have been shown to reduce the risk of breast and reproductive cancers in men and women.

Cauliflower is also rich in choline, a nutrient that many people don’t get enough of in their diet. Some studies have shown that those who don’t consume enough choline may have a higher risk of liver and heart disease as well as neurological disorders, like dementia and Alzheimer’s.
